Cinco de Mayo celebrated in Duncanville

The Cinco de Mayo festivities Dancanville started on Saturday, May 3rd at Armstrong Park at 2 p.m.  There were activities for the entire family which included a King Kong slide, mechanical bull, and children's arts and crafts. There were also food booths which ranged from Mexican to turkey legs. Stage presentations included children performing trationional Mexican folk dances, Mariachis, and bands.
At about 6:30 p.m., Grupo Sueno took the stage and what a way to end the day's events. This Tejano band had people dancing in the park (including me)! They played songs from thier latest CD, as well as old school, disco, pop, cumbia, and rock. (English & Spanish language). They also gave away t-shirts and CD's to fans. Grupo Sueno is DFW's hottest Tejano band and are known nationwide.
